On Leaving
No one but you can determine if you should leave the country due to current events. For many, leaving even their town is financally or socially impossible. Sometimes The Impossible is necessary. If you are concerned that this may be necessary, study stealth urban camping and car camping. Listen to and learn from the unhoused. Consider the risks and necessities of the crimes that one might need to commit and how those crimes will incrase one's chances of getting captured by the state.
On a practical standpoint:
- If you can go, go as early as you can. It's hard to get away on the night that's full of broken glass. Even harder then next day.
- Choose a place to go, THEN run. Do not run to choose a place to go. Circumstances may force your hand. having communications helps.
- The worse it gets, the lighter you pack. Don't let your luggage kill you.
- The above includes weapons. Getting around with long guns is very difficult, pistols and knives can restrict your choice of transportation and endanger you with government agents (cops, troops or the like). Evasion is always better then fighting.
- Money is the universal lubricant. $100 bills make great bribes, smaller bills are useful for getting coffee or a snack.
